Description

Dihydroxypropyl PEG-5 Linoleamonium Chloride Phosphate is a vegetable derived long chain cationic quaternary ammonium salt for hair care applications. The hydrophilic group in the molecule imparts enhanced solubility in water while the linoleic acid alkyl chain exhibits excellent conditioning and repair effects on skin & hair. As a highly substantive material, Dihydroxypropyl PEG-5 Linoleamonium Chloride Phosphate provides lubricity and detangling to wet hair while at the same time effectively building volume and sheen.

Applications  

1.      Hair conditioners, rinses, conditioning shampoos, hairsprays, styling gels, conditioning hair color, crèmes and lotions. Especially suitable for use on sun dried and damaged hair and over-processed hair or hair made brittle from excessive blow-drying.
It can be combined with linoleamidopropyl PG dimonium chlorid phosphate for use in “repair” products of damaged due to hair colored or permed.

2.      As cationic emulsifier, anti-static and softening agent in crèmes, lotions and other personal care products

Procedure

Disperse Carbopol Ultrez 21 in water. Heat to 70°C and add remaining ingredients of Part A. Cool to 45°C with stirring and adjust pH to 6.0– 7.0. Add color, fragrance and Euxyl PE9010 as required. Continue agitation and cool to room temperature.

Procedure:

Charge materials into water with stirring in order.

 

 

4 Detangling Hair Conditioner for Damaged Hair

Procedure

1. Blend ingredients of Part A in order listed, heat to 65°C.

2. Mix Part B and heat to 65°C.

3. Add Part B into Part A with stirring, and hold for 30 minutes, Cool to 45°C, add Part C with stirring.
